Day 40: Living Life Faithfully

Updated: Jan 29

A 40-Day Faith Challenge

Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is powerful. So, let's plant those seeds and reap the harvest.

The Seed: God's Word

Cleansing Rain: A Reflection on God's Word

Jesus dwells in our hearts. Thus, as Christians, our lives should reflect Christ and the only way to do that is to live like Christ. The 90’s slogan still has it right. As we navigate life we should constantly ask ourselves: What Would Jesus Do? (WWJD?)

Here’s a list of some of the good stuff Jesus would do:

  • He would minister to the sick and feed the hungry.

  • He would invite sinners or the lost to dinner with him.

  • He would resist the temptations of the Devil.

  • He would pray constantly.

  • He was giving of his time and served others.

  • He defended the weak.

  • He taught Scripture.

As Christians living our lives in faith, we no longer make excuses for our sins, instead, we confess and repent. We no longer want to engage in behavior that is not pleasing to God. Instead, we want our actions to point to Christ. More than that, we want to live like Christ. We want to please the one who created us and sacrificed it all for us. We want to live life faithfully. God’s blessings on your pursuit of doing just that!

Daily Sprinkle: A Prayer to Say throughout the Day

Thank you for taking the Faith Challenge. I pray these past 40 days drew us closer to Christ and strengthened our faith in our omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and loving God. I hope our journey continues on a path that always leads to a fuller life in Jesus' name.

May the God of hop fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13)
