Day 37: Living Life Faithfully

Updated: Jan 29

A 40-Day Faith Challenge

Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is powerful. So, let's plant those seeds and reap the harvest.

The Seed: God's Word

Cleansing Rain: A Reflection on God's Word

Your perspective will either become your prison or your passport.” Pastor Steven Furtick And what an alternative perspective God offers us! As Christians, we are no longer working for human bosses, but are employed by God. Right away, this shift in mindset offers us dignity in our tasks, purpose to our work, and motivation to do our jobs to the best of our abilities.

God makes no distinction between the CEO and the custodian, the principal and the teacher’s aide, or the pilot and the flight attendant. All are equally important to Him and equally loved by him. This is dignity.

The purpose of our work is always to glorify God. Cheating, taking short cuts, being lazy, and complaining do not fulfill our calling as God’s people. We are to be thankful for our employment and look for opportunities to share God’s love with our bosses, co-workers, and customers. This is the field God placed you in to work for and serve Him.

No work or worker is unimportant to God. God is a loving, fair, and kind boss. His work is of utmost significance. What more motivation could there be to work from the heart?

Keep a Godly perspective. It will change your outlook; it will change your life.
