Day 32: Living Life Faithfully

Updated: Jan 29

A 40-Day Faith Challenge

Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is powerful. So, let's plant those seeds and reap the harvest.

The Seed: God's Word

Cleansing Rain: A Reflection on God's Word

Darkness hides; light reveals. In this passage, Jesus is revealing who he is. He is the Light. He is the only source of true spiritual enlightenment. In Him, we find the meaning of life.

Light is required for physical growth just as Christ’s light is needed for spiritual growth. And just as plants draw near to the light, we too must seek God’s light and walk in it.

Anyone who has been lost on a dark road knows light is necessary to navigate. Psalm 119:105 states, “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path.” And John 1:1 tells us that Jesus is the Word. Thus, Jesus is our true north as we journey through life.

“I am the Light” shines a ray of hope into our lives. We have a Savior who leads the way to righteous living and eternal life with Him. We need not fear the dark.

And finally, Jesus calls us to be a light in this world. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14) What a privilege it is to be a believer.

Daily Sprinkle: A Prayer to Say Throughout the Day

We sometimes lament that we live in a dark world, but that's when a single light can shine the brightest. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9).

Shine brightly, my friends.
