Day 31: Living Life Faithfully

Updated: Jan 29

A 40-Day Faith Challenge

Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is powerful. So, let's plant those seeds and reap the harvest.

The Seed: God's Word

Cleansing Rain: A Reflection on God's Word

What a promise! But it is conditional. In order to receive life, prosperity, and honor; we must do something on our end.

Notice the verse does not require us to BE righteous. Righteousness is given to us by faith in the saving blood of Jesus. However, it does tell us to PURSUE righteousness. We are to try our best to live our lives in agreement with God’s commands and will.

Furthermore, we are to pursue love. This is an outward form of living. We are to look for ways to share the love of God with those near and dear to us and strangers far away; with those we like and those we like not so much; with fellow believers as well as scoffers. In other words, we are to live in a loving manner with all people at all times.

But on the other side of this promise is a better life, a much more fulfilling life for it is in this pursuit we find God. It is a path that brings glory to God and blesses us beyond our imagination. God is good and so are His promises.

Daily Sprinkle: A Prayer to Say Throughout the Day

Here's a few of God's promises on my list:

  1. God is always with me. (The LORD himself goes before you and will be wih you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8)

  2. God's love doesn't fail and He offers me peace. ("Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace by removed," says the LORD, who has comapassion on you. Isaiah 54:10)

  3. God will grant me wisdom. (If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5)

  4. God forgives my sins. (If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all righteousness. 1 John 1:9)

  5. I will spend eternity with God. (Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them. John 3:36)

  6. Nothing can separate me from God's love. (Nothing in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39)

I hope your list is overflowing with God's goodness. One Google search said there were over 7,000 promises of God!

In Christ,
