A 40-Day Faith Challenge
Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is powerful. So, let's plant those seeds and reap the harvest.
The Seed: God's Word
Cleansing Rain: A Reflection on God's Word
Your brain can only hold so much information, and worse, once you see something dreadful, it is impossible to unsee it. With this in mind, it becomes vitally important to be protective of what we put into our minds. Space is limited! Why would we want to fill it with even the smallest amount of trash when so much good is available to us?
This verse should act as our guide as we make movie, entertainment, and music selections. Before we speak, we should run our words through the filter of this verse and decide if they are worthy, just, lovely, and pure. And as we serve and act, we should determine if our behaviors are worthy of praise. Wouldn’t it make all the difference in keeping our lives holy and dedicated to God?
This type of living requires us to trust that God knows what is better for our lives than what the world offers up. This verse protects us from walking in darkness. This verse leads to truth and life and ultimately to a much more fulfilling life.
