Day 16: Living Life Faithfully

Updated: Jan 29

Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is powerful. So, let's plant those seeds and reap the harvest.

The Seed: God's Word

Cleansing Rain: A Reflection on God's Word

Sometimes when applying for a job or school, we must provide letters of recommendation as proof of our qualifications and trustworthiness. As Christians, we are the letters of recommendation for God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, our lives provide proof of God’s transforming power, love, and trustworthiness.

The Law was written on stone. A grace-filled life is written on our hearts by the Living God. The Holy Spirit transforms us to live more and more like Christ- so much so that when people observe our lives we testify to God’s love, mercy, and goodness.

A famous quote states “You preach a better sermon with your life than you do with your lips.” Our faith put into action has a greater impact on a fellow human beings than our words. For example, God is love is a true statement and comforting to hear. But forgiving another’s sin, paying a friend’s debt, offering a ride to a neighbor, watching a single parent’s child, or providing food for those in service to you allows another person to encounter God’s love. May the Holy Spirit lead us in providing more God-encounters in the world.
